Personal Training Methods

Using exercises and training drills in resistance, plyometric, boxing, kickboxing, and martial arts, Coach creates training sessions that increase strength, endurance and flexibility. Torro believes in functional workouts that engage the mind, body, and spirit, knowing that neglecting any one aspect of the whole person will limit their progress and success.

Coach Torro practices the one-size-DOES-NOT-fit-all method of training. His experience and continued education have proven that each student is unique and requires a custom workout plan based on their individual characteristics. Your age, past fitness background, lifestyle, nutrition, and many other factors impact your training. Your personal training program is designed to take you from where you are currently at to where you want to be, rapidly, but safely. Coach will push you past your mental limit but will always keep you from exceeding your physical limits. Through this process you will benefit physically, but more importantly you will benefit mentally and emotionally. Achieving your desired level of fitness comes with more benefits than you realize, Coach knows how to tie the body, mind, and spirit together so you grow in all areas. 

Personal Training Goals

What are your goals for personal training? Sounds like a simple question, but it is deeper than you may think. Let's say our friend "Joe" decides he wants six pack abs (don't we all), but why did Joe all of a sudden say to himself that's what I want. So "Joe" calls the local super big box gym and says I want six pack abs, gotta a trainer for that? Of course they say "yep" come on in and we will get started on that. "Joe" meets the trainer, starts doing the workouts, then gets busy, bored, etc. and a few weeks later he quits going to the gym. Is that a familiar cycle? 

Coach Torro isn't a six pack abs trainer, although you may end up having six pack abs when you choose him as your personal trainer. Coach Torro isn't a weight loss trainer, but you will certainly lose weight when you train with Torro. Coach Torro is a reach-your-goals trainer. The difference is Torro will help you find your real goals, not just the surface level goals. When you find the true reason you want to lose weight, have six pack abs, or be fit and healthy you transition from "working out" to "working toward a goal". Coach Torro knows when you are striving to reach a real goal you won't quit or back down, you will fight scratch and claw to keep moving forward. You will achieve and through the process of achieving you improve not only your body, but your spirit and your mind. When we fight through the barriers our minds have created we become mentally stronger, self confident, powerful, and self determined. So, while you surely do want six pack abs, on a deeper level you want to feel more self confident at work, home, or at the beach. Choosing the right personal trainer is the first step to reaching your true goals.
